Nauset Disposal’s Trash Bash to Benefit Multiple Local Non-Profits

ORLEANS – A community fundraiser that benefits several local non-profit organizations is coming back to Nauset Disposal next week.

The annual Trash Bash features live music by the Grab Brothers, dinner, beer and wine, door prizes, a photo booth, and more.

“Trash Bash is really just a fun party with a cause. We have seven beneficiaries this year,” Marketing and Community Investment Manager Kara Boule explained. “It’s really a party for the beneficiaries, these non-profits that are doing so much for our community.”

Participants will also have the opportunity to win one of ten door prizes upon admission.

Door prizes include an overnight stay at the luxury Boston hotel XV Beacon, a Cape Cod Dining Basket full of gift cards to local restaurants, or roundtrip Cape Air tickets to Nantucket, among other exciting prizes.

“I’d like to thank so many customers, sponsors and supporters of Nauset Disposal and our annual Trash Bash. What started 19 years ago as a thank you to our Nauset Disposal customers with a bonfire, BBQ and a one man band has certainly come a long way,” said Shawn DeLude, the Owner of Nauset Disposal. “We take our commitment to the community very seriously and look forward to the support we can offer by raising funds for local programs.”

Proceeds from the event will benefit Cape Cod Cares for the Troops, Cape Cod Child Development, Cape & Islands United Way, the Center for Coastal Studies, the Community Development Partnership, the WE CAN organization, and Wild Care.

Boule says the Trash Bash started out as a small party to celebrate getting done with the disposal company’s busy season.

“Summertime is a huge season for Nauset Disposal. So, it started as this celebration of being done with the busy-ness and what it really grew into was something that Shawn thought he could do more with and it’s now been several years,” said Boule. “He really feels that Nauset Disposal has a corporate social responsibility to give back to our community and our neighbors and our friends and our acquaintances. That’s what Trash Bash is really all about.”

The Trash Bash begins at 5:30 p.m. on October 12 at Nauset Disposal, located at 3 Rayber Road in Orleans. Ticket prices for the event are $30 each, available online or at the door.
