Nauset High Improvement Meetings Scheduled

                 Nauset Regional High School

EASTHAM – Officials with the Nauset Regional School District are considering possible improvements to the aging high school and are soliciting the public’s input in the process. Meetings are scheduled to consider the project, the first takes place tonight. It is scheduled for this evening at 6 in the Nauset Room at Orleans town hall.

Future meetings will be held on January 29th in the Earle Mountain Room at Eastham Town Hall, January 30th in the Great Pond Room at the Wellfleet Senior Center, and January 31st at Brewster Town Hall. All sessions begin at 6 p.m.

The High School was built in 1972 and ongoing inspections of the facility are uncovering a host of problems. Any renovations would be expected to take the school into the middle of the century and officials say work is needed in several areas of the building including athletic facilities, the library, and classroom spaces.

In addition HVAC systems, wiring and plumbing systems need to be brought up to date according to inspectors.
