ORLEANS – Students from Nauset Regional Middle School have created an artistic comment on the negative effects of trash and debris on marine ecology.
The display, entitled “Ocean Debris is a Whale of a Problem,” was created entirely of recyclables and will be on display in Orleans Village Center this week.
The project was inspired by the whale sculpture on Cove Road. It was selected for a $10,000 grant by DonorsChoose.org from the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation’s Student Innovation Challenge.
The installation runs through Sunday, June 19th.
