NECN Meteorologist Chosen as St. Pat’s Parade Grand Marshal

NECN Meteorologist Tim Kelley was chosen as Grand Marshal for the 13th annual Cape Cod St. Pat’s Parade along Route 28 in Yarmouth.

YARMOUTH – A Dennis native has been chosen as the Grand Marshal of this year’s Cape Cod St. Patrick’s Parade.

New England Cape News meteorologist Tim Kelley will lead the parade along Route 28 in Yarmouth on March 10.

Kelley has been a meteorologist with NECN since the station’s launch in 1992.

Kelley grew up in a family of fishermen and builders. He says he found a way to make a living as a landlubber because he doesn’t like getting stuck out at sea.

The 13th annual parade will feature dozens of marching bands, floats, Irish Step Dancers, Clydesdales, antique cars and family friendly entertainment.

It steps off at 11 a.m. at the intersection of Long Pond Drive and Route 28 in South Yarmouth and travels over the Parker’s River Bridge ending at the Town ‘n Country Motel.
