New 4Cs Speaker Series to Feature Performing Arts Professionals

Cape_Cod_Community_College_001WEST BARNSTABLE – A new speaker series is coming to Cape Cod Community college that focuses on the reality of making a living in the fine and performing art worlds.

“Making a Living Making Art” will feature three events this spring.

Actor and theater educator Thomas Grenon will be the first guest speaker on March 21st at noon.

Grenon, who is one of the most employed actors in the Boston area, will discuss the challenges that theater professionals face today and provide tips for aspiring actors.

The series was made possible with help from the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod, The Educational Foundation of Cape Cod Community College and is presented by the college’s Department of Arts and Communication.

The events are free and open to the public.

The second event in the series will be on April 25 from 7 to 10 p.m. and will feature two local playwrights John Minigan and Alan Brody.

A third event will feature producer and guardian of the Priscilla Beach Theatre Bob Malone on May 3 from 7 to 10 p.m.
