New Cape Cod Chamber Orchestra to Present ‘Summer Celebration’

HARWICH PORT – A successful debut performance by Cape Cod’s newest professional orchestra has inspired an afternoon of summer music.

The Cape Cod Chamber Orchestra presents Summer Celebration on Sunday, July 29 at 3 p.m. at Pilgrim Congregational Church in Harwich Port.

Led by Music Director and Conductor Matthew Scinto, the orchestra’s Summer Celebration program will showcase the depth of orchestral strings and harp through a varied selection designed to evoke feelings of the season – warmth, joy and excitement.

Performance pieces include Vaughan Williams’ “Five Variants on Dives and Lazarus,” Mozart’s “Violin Concerto in D,” Ravel’s “Introduction and Allegro,” and Tchaikovsky’s “Serenade for Strings.”

Tickets to the performance are $25, $30 for special reserved seating, $15 for students ages 12 through college and children under 12 are admitted free.
