New Detours In Effect at Route 28 and Bearse’s Way

HYANNIS – Road work continues at the Route 28 and Bearse’s Way intersection in Hyannis.

Crews have begun the next phase of the construction, resulting in detours on Route 28 eastbound heading toward the Airport Rotary.

Traffic on 28 will be sent south on Bearse’s Way and northeast up Walton Avenue to get around the work. Access to local businesses will be allowed.

Westbound traffic on Route 28 will not be affected.

The detours will be in place until May 11. Work hours are from 6:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Town officials are asking drivers to use caution in the work zone and slow down.
