New Haunted Harbor Seeks Ghosts, Ghouls and Goblins

lazarusDENNIS PORT – The season of ghosts and goblins is fast approaching and a new Halloween event is happening on Cape Cod this year.

Captain Lazarus’ Haunted Harbor comes to Dennis Port and organizers are looking for people to inhabit the event.

Several days of auditions will be held at the Cape Cod Community Media Center on Shad Hole Road. The auditions will be held Tuesday and Wednesday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and next Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Additional audition days are October 4, 5 and 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. and October 8 from noon to 3 p.m.

The haunted harbor will be directed by John Sullivan, an award winning director from Barnstable High School who started the very first haunted house on Cape Cod in 1978.

There will be speaking and non-speaking roles and screaming only parts.

Auditions will consist of a brief interview, a discussion of what kind of role you would like to play and then a short reading from a script.

The production is also looking for guides, house managers, puppeteers and special effects operators.

The haunted harbor will be open from October 20 to October 30 and cast members do not need to be there every night.

Audition sheets can be picked up at the Media Center in advance.
