HYANNIS -The Town of Barnstable has initiated large capacity vehicle loading and unloading zones in the area of Hyannis Harbor in an effort to improve traffic flow and safety in the area, the zones went into effect last week.
Passengers can meet their high capacity vehicles, such as buses and other large forms of transport, at a waiting area along Old Colony and Ocean Streets.
Barnstable police will be enforcing the zones and will be policing the Bismore Parking Lot to ensure compliance with the new regulations.
