WAREHAM – Southcoast Behavioral Health has announced the appointment of Dr. Michael Liebowitz as their new Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director.
Liebowitz will be charged with overseeing the company’s behavioral health operations at facilities including Tobey Hospital in Wareham.
He is new to Southcoast, having spent more than a decade High Point Hospital in Middleboro, serving most recently as their Chief of Psychiatry for both inpatient and outpatient services.
Dr. Liebowitz is certified by both the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Addiction Medicine, and is licensed in both Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Southcoast Health is a not-for-profit, community-based health system, offering health services throughout southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
