New Provincetown Partnership Aims to Continue Dental Services For Area Residents

PROVINCETOWN-  Due to the difficulty of maintaining a financially sustainable dental program in Provincetown, Outer Cape Health Services has partnered with Harbor Health Services Inc. to increase patient assistance at the OCHS Health Center.

“We negotiated a great understanding that… [Harbor] will provide and bring in our dental program under their umbrella, and provide direction for dental, so that the services are available to the folks who live in the outer cape town… [so] they don’t have to travel to Harwich,” says Pat Nadle, CEO of Outer Cape Health.

Harbor Health Services provides dental care to more than 13,000 patients per year, with current offices in Boston, Plymouth, Hyannis and Harwich.

“We have got a great Dental Director Dr. Matt Horan who is able to provide [great] leadership to our dental operations. We also have some sophisticated quality improvement infrastructure there [as well],” says Chuck Jones, CEO of Harbor Health.

The dental program is expected to transition from Outer Cape to Harbor Health on October 1st of this year, pending governmental approval.
