NANTUCKET – Over $62 million in capital projects have been proposed on Nantucket, with a large portion of that proposal focused on a new elementary school for the island.
The Capital Programs Committee has put forward a $40 million recommendation for a new school, which comes in response to a 25 percent increase in enrollment, according to the Inquirer and Mirror.
The committee also proposed $15 million for a new fire station.
