New Senior Living Property Breaks Ground in Mashpee

MASHPEE – Callahan Construction Managers recently broke ground on a new senior living property in Mashpee.

Construction of Laurentide at Mashpee Commons has begun with completion of the project expected next summer.

The property will be developed by Northbridge Companies, who manages a number of senior living communities throughout New England.

Laurentide will serve three lifestyle options, including independent living, assisted living and their signature memory care program.

“What it has allowed us to do is to have individuals or couples that have various levels of need, that we can provide services to each on an individual basis,” said Northbridge CEO Jim Coughlin.

The facility, which will be located at 64 Great Neck Road, will feature 70 appointed apartments, a full calendar of social programs, locally-sourced dining and maintenance-free living.

Laurentide is Northbridge Companies’ 16th community within the New England region.

“What we continued to see is that we’re attracting more and more residents off Cape and thought it would be important that we do provide a community as part of our offering on Cape and Mashpee seemed to be the ideal location for that,” said Coughlin.

Amenities at the new facility include a dining room, pub and lounge, library, landscaped walking paths and sunroom.
