New Trolley Service on Cape Cod

Bourne Bridge and BoatHYANNIS- After 20 years of outsourcing the WHOOSH and Hyannis Free Trolley services, the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) inaugurates its own professional trolley service on these routes.

On Monday, June 23, the CCRTA will commemorate the upgrades to each of the summer routes with two ribbon-cutting ceremonies in Falmouth and Barnstable.

The WHOOSH Trolley ceremony will take place at Falmouth Town Hall at 9:00 a.m. and the Hyannis Free Trolley ceremony will take place at the Hyannis Transportation Center at 1:00 p.m.

Each Trolley route operates daily service from June 21 through September 1, every 30 minutes.

The WHOOSH Trolley operates between the Steamship Authority terminal and Falmouth Mall.

The Hyannis Free Trolley operates from the Hyannis Transportation Center at the east end of Main Street, down Main and South Streets, to the Hyannis docks and ferry terminals, to the Kennedy Memorial and all points in between.
