WOODS HOLE – The new Steamship Authority ferry terminal in Woods Hole is one step closer to reality after recently being approved by the Steamship Authority Board.
The project has been conceptually rendered.
Steamship Authority General Manager Wayne Lamson says the plan now is to begin getting more specific.
“We’ve completed the conceptual phase and now we will be moving into permitting and more detailed design work,” he said.
Lamson said the new terminal will be located further away from the water in order to better protect the building from storms.
