Next Phase of Low Number MV Plates Scheduled

OAK BLUFFS – Martha’s Vineyard Community Services is gearing up for the next phase of the Martha’s Vineyard Low Number License Plate Auction next month. 

A pre-sale will begin August 1st and run through the 17th and includes numbers 1-100 with the exception of 1-5, 100, and those plates purchased in the first phase of the auction in early July. 

The earlier auction closed two days early after all of the available plates were sold, the auction raised and raised $56,000 for the island nonprofit. 

MVCS has committed to donating 20% of annual net proceeds to other island non profits through the Martha’s Vineyard Community Driving the Future Charitable Fund, a collaborative effort between MVCS and the Permanent Endowment for Martha’s Vineyard. 

Grants from the fund are used to support education and health and human services for youth and seniors on Martha’s Vineyard.
