NOAA Hosting North Atlantic Right Whale Discussion

WOODS HOLE – Peer reviewers will be evaluating a method to educate people about the entanglement of North Atlantic right whales in fishing equipment next week.

Reviewers will analyze the decision support tool and consider if it works as a credible basis for developing advice for the public to protect the whales’ livelihood. Reviewers were chosen by the Center for Independent Experts, a part of NOAA.

Reviews will be conducted at the Marine Biological Laboratory’s Swope Center from November 19 to November 21. Meetings are open to the public.
