HYANNIS – NOAA Fisheries is accepting public comment on a plan to allow recreational fishing of black sea bass during the month February.
A December 2016 stock assessment of the fish determined it is not overfished and the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council and Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission have approved recommendations to allow a 15 fish limit and a 12.5-inch minimum size for the additional season.
Black Sea Bass is a popular Cape Cod recreational fishery.
