COTUIT – Anyone who is looking for an alcohol-free night of fun with live music and dancing on July 4 is luck.

Song Keepers, Ltd., which is a non-profit organization that provides programs and opportunities for the community while preserving and continuing Native American musical traditions, will be presenting the GroovaLottos Saturday at 8 p.m. at Freedom Hall on Main Street in Cotuit.

The GroovaLottos are a soul, funk and blues trio comprised of musicians and singers from the Choctaw, Cherokee and Wampanoag communities.

The music director and keyboardist for the Groovalottos and the Manager for Song Keepers, Morgan Peters, talked about what attendees can expect.

“It’s basically just a chance to come together, party, listen to some good, funky music, dance to some good, funky music and have a good time,” he said. “And for people who don’t drink, don’t like to drink and don’t want to be around alcohol, this is a good opportunity and a good space to be in.”

The event is being billed as a non-alcohol alternative to the annual Mashpee Wampanoag Powwow.

Donations are $10.
