HYANNNIS – The plans for a new performing arts center in Hyannis are moving forward, and the nonprofit group Oceanside Performing Arts Center will be hosting an event this weekend to update attendees on its progress.
The event will be held from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the West End Restaurant. Tickets need to be purchased in advance. For information call 508-648-9291.
The proposed project slated to be built off of Scudder Avenue has received resistance from surrounding neighbors, who are concerned about a number of things including parking, traffic impacts, noise, excessive lighting, and trash.
The Cape Symphony would be one of the main tenants of the facility.
