Noted Naturalist to Speak at Wellfleet Conservation Trust Meeting

TrullWELLFLEET – The Wellfleet Conservation Trust is sponsoring a discussion by noted author and Cape Cod naturalist Peter Trull at their annual meeting on Saturday august 20th.

Trull will deliver remarks on what is called the ‘Gray Curtain,’ the impact of seals, sharks, and commercial fishing.

The lecture is based on his recent book of the same title. Trull is expected to show, through a multi media presentation, the relationship between commercial fishing, expanding gray seal populations and great white sharks along the beaches and in the waters of Cape Cod.

Trull says geologic and environmental changes have resulted in the current increase in the animals.

The Wellfleet trust was founded in 1984 as a private sector non-profit in order to preserve natural resources and wildlife in Wellfleet.

Trull’s talk will be held at the Trust’s annual meeting at 10 am Saturday August 20th at the Wellfleet Council on Aging.
