PLYMOUTH – The Commonwealth’s Nuclear Decommissioning Citizens Advisory Panel will hold a public meeting this month, providing an opportunity for representatives of Entergy, Holtec, and CDI, to discuss Entergy’s announced agreement to sell the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station to Holtec.

The sale needs approval from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Elected federal, state, and local officials, as well as the public, are encouraged to attend the event to learn more about the process and to give their thoughts regarding the announced agreement.

The panel was established to serve as a conduit for public information and education to encourage community involvement in matters related to the decommissioning of the plant.

Talks will get underway at the Plymouth Community Intermediate School’s Little Theater at 117 Long Pond Road in Plymouth, on August 15th from 6:30 to 9:00 PM.
