CHILMARK – President Barack Obama was back on the golf course Monday afternoon as his Martha’s Vineyard vacation continues.
Obama’s motorcade departed his rented Chilmark home around 11 a.m. and arrived a short time later at the Vineyard Golf Club in Edgartown.
According to the White House, the president’s golf partners include basketball great Alonzo Mourning, Washington attorney Cy Walker and Chicago businessman Marty Nesbitt.
Later today, the President will attend a Democratic National Committee fundraiser for Hillary Clinton on the island.
The First Family went to the beach on Saturday, spending about 4 hours at Kohlberg Beach with friends. The Obamas ate dinner Saturday night at Red Cat Kitchen in Oak Bluffs.
On Sunday, the President, First Lady Michelle, and Malia Obama went for a short walk near their rented home in Chilmark.
President Obama then played a round of golf at Farm Neck Golf Club in Oak Bluffs.
Sunday night was a late night for the Obamas as they attended a function at Lola’s in Oak Bluffs.
The President is keeping tabs on the ongoing flooding in Louisiana and granted an emergency request for federal resources to support cleanup and recovery efforts.
Obama was also briefed on the situation in Milwaukee after a police-involved shooting and riots over the weekend.
