Obama Golfs and Dines on First Full Day of Martha’s Vineyard Vacation

[Not a valid template]CHILMARK –  President Barack Obama hit the golf course on the first full day of his Martha’s Vineyard vacation.

Obama arrived at Farm Neck Golf Club in Oak Bluffs around noon Sunday for a day of golf with a group that included NBA star Chris Paul.

Cy Walker and Joe Paulsen were also in the foursome.

As members of the press pool were watching, Obama just missed a 30 foot putt, and turned to reporters saying “I hope you saw that!”

Later in the day, Obama and First Lady Michelle had dinner with friends at Down Island in Oak Bluffs. They returned to their rented Chilmark home just before 11:30.

The First Family arrived on Martha’s Vineyard Saturday for a two week vacation, the last on the island of President Obama’s presidency.

As in past years, the two-week respite is expected to include a lot of golf for the president and few, if any, public appearances.

In past visits, the Obamas have occasionally ventured out for some shopping and ice cream.
