One dead in double-stabbing in Dennis

DENNIS – Dennis Police and the Cape and Islands District Attorney’s office are investigating a double stabbing Tuesday that left one person dead.

Officers responded to a 911 call at 11 O’Connor Drive in South Dennis at 7:30 p.m. During the call, a woman could be heard screaming for help.

On arrival, the unidentified female victim was found suffering from stab wounds. She was taken to Cape Cod Hospital and later med-flighted to Boston where her condition was unknown.

Also in the home, police found Mark Thomasson, 30, who also suffered from stab wounds. Police say he died while being rushed to Cape Cod Hospital.

A statement from Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O’Keefe said it appears the female was stabbed Thomasson, who later stabbed himself.
