COTUIT – In the spirit of the holidays, once again the Cotuit Center for the Arts is bringing Neil McGarry’s award winning one man performance of Dicken’s a Christmas carol; the McGarry show premiered in 2014.
Using only Dicken’s original text, McGarry plays each character, including Scrooge, Cratchit and even Tiny Tim.
In addition, he portrays all three of the Christmas ghosts. McGarry began playing scrooge when he was a student at Barnstable high, he says the play inspires people to be better to those around them and observe the golden rule.
His one man performance was created under the auspices of the Bay Colony Shakespeare Company, it won best solo performance in 2014 from Independent Reviewers of New England and a Best of Boston award in 2013.
McGarry has been a practicing actor for the past 35 years with a wide array of theater, film and television credits.
The one man Christmas Carol is playing at the Cotuit Center for the Arts December 19th to the 21st, tickets are available for 25 dollars or 20 for members.
