Online Guide for Early Voting in Election Launched

State SealBOSTON (AP) — Massachusetts has launched a new online guide for early voting in the upcoming election.

This will be the first time the state has allowed early voting in presidential contests, joining more than 30 other states that allow voters to cast ballots before Election Day.

The early voting period in the Bay State will be Oct. 24 to Nov. 4. A list of times and locations for early voting in each city and town is available at http://www.sec.state.ma.us/EarlyVotingWeb/EarlyVotingSearch.aspx .

Voters can also cast an early ballot by mail. To do so they must fill out an application on the Secretary of State’s website. The requested ballot will be mailed on Oct. 24.

Votes that are cast early will not be tabulated until polls close on Election Day, Nov. 8.
