Opening Reception to Preview ArtSpring Events

DENNIS – An opening reception will be held next Thursday to kick off ArtSpring Cape Cod.

The reception will preview the events that will be held across the Cape during the 10-day arts and culture festival.

Several organizations will be at the Cape Cod Museum of Art in Dennis from 5 to 7 p.m. to offer live presentations, video screenings, interactive displays and behind-the-scenes previews.

Groups participating include the Cape Symphony, Cotuit Center for the Arts, Cultural Center of Cape Cod, Cape Cod Film Society, Cape Cod Theater Coalition, the Fire Spinners and more.

More than 50 organizations and individuals within the Cape Cod Arts Community are expected to participate in this year’s ArtSpring Festival. The festival started as a grassroots collaboration to showcase the region’s creative talent.

The theme of this year’s festival is “Freedom of Expression.”
