FALMOUTH – The three Democrats looking to challenge Gov. Charlie Baker in November will return to Cape Cod this weekend for a debate.
Engage Falmouth and the Cape and Islands Democratic Council will host Setti Warren, Robert Massie, and Jay Gonzalez on Saturday at the Falmouth Public Library.
The event was initially going to be held at Falmouth High School, but had to be changed unexpectedly, according to organizers.
The debate is still scheduled for 4 p.m., with doors opening at 3:30. It is free and open to the public.
“I’m hoping that this forum will increase voter turnout in both the upcoming primaries and in the general election,” said Engage Falmouth co-founder Jarita Davis.
“We have three excellent candidates running, and I think it’s important to have as much information from them as possible to know who will be the strongest to put forward in the general election this fall.”
Warren, Massie, and Gonzalez were on Cape Cod on Monday for a debate at Monomoy Regional High School in Harwich.
The event was organized and moderated by students at the school.
