Orleans Chamber Seeks Annual Award Nominations

Orleans Chamber of CommerceORLEANS – The Orleans Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the 2016 Business of the Year and Community Service Award.

The award will be presented at the organizations 27th Annual Meeting and Business dinner which takes place on November 15 at the Captain Linnell House.

Cape and Islands State Senator Dan Wolf, who is also the founder and CEO of Cape Air, will be this year’s keynote speaker.

Nomination forms are available at the Orleans Chamber of Commerce website at orleanscapecod.org and must be received by October 20.

The Business of the Year Award recognizes a business that demonstrates a strong commitment to the Orleans Chamber of Commerce and its Mission Statement.

Nominated businesses must be a current member in good standing of the OCC for a minimum of three years.

Guapo’s Tortilla Shack won the Business of the Year Award in 2015.

The Community Service Award recognizes members of the Chamber who have demonstrated exemplary service to the community, particularly which is performed outside of the normal realm of their business.

In 2015, Nauset Marine won the Community Service Award.
