Orleans Citizens Forum Plans Meeting On Warrant Articles

 

ORLEANS -The Orleans Citizens Forum is hosting a presentation on several of the warrants that will be considered at town meeting this spring.

A panel will present information on the proposed $47 million dollar wastewater management plan and related articles. The related articles include a special purpose stabilization fund and an increase in excise taxes. Other subjects to be discussed include the acquisition of 18 acres on Sipson Island and an acre on Lonnie’s pond, those properties are proposed for increased recreational opportunities.

Heading the panel will be outgoing Chair of the Board of Selectmen Alan McLennan. Also on the panel will Chair of the Orleans Finance Committee Lynn Bruneau, wastewater consultant Tom Parace and Mark Robinson, a trustee of the Sipson Island property.

A question and answer period will follow the presentation. It is scheduled for Thursday, April 25th from 3:30-5 at the Orleans Senior Center.
