Orleans Extends Deadline for Human Service Grand Funding

ORLEANS – The Town of Orleans has extended the deadline for soliciting requests from local/area human service agencies for funding in Fiscal Year 2019.

Organizations serving the citizens of Orleans are invited to submit funding proposals in accordance with the Board of Selectmen’s Charge to the Human Services Advisory Committee.

The Committee Charge and FY19 application materials are available on the Town Web site on the Human Services Advisory Committee page.

All funding is subject to May 2018 Annual Town Meeting appropriations. Completed applications must be returned to the Town Administrator on or before January 12, 2018 at 4:30 p.m.

Eligible human services agencies are those not-for-profit organizations that provide direct assistance to Orleans residents on a regular basis through a variety of services, programs, and treatment methods.

The individuals who benefit from the assistance of these agencies typically have significant needs
and/or disabilities – including, but not limited to, financial, physical, mental, emotional, and social – that frequently cause them challenges and/or hardship in their lives.
