Orleans Selectmen Set Date for Annual, Special Town Meetings

ORLEANS – Selectmen in Orleans recently voted to set a date for the Annual and Special Town Meetings.

The meetings will be held on May 7 at Nauset Middle School beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The warrant for annual Town Meeting opens February 6 and closes on March 8. Written petition articles with the signatures of any ten registered voters of the town must be submitted to the Board of Selectmen on or before March 8 at 4:30 p.m.

The Special Town Meeting warrant will be open from March 8 through March 22. Petition articles with the signatures of any 100 registered voters must be submitted on or before March 22 at 4:30 p.m.

The procedure for submitting petition warrant articles is available from the office of the Town Clerk or the Town Administrator.

The warrants will be published on April 20 and copies will be available at the Town Clerk’s office after that date. Warrants in larger print will be available by request from the Town Administrator’s office.
