Orleans Senior Center to Host Several June Events

ORLEANS – The Orleans Senior Center is hosting several activities throughout the month before the first day of summer.

Join an artist from Arts and Carafes for an afternoon painting party on Tuesday, June 5 at 2 p.m.

Attendees will create a painting of a marsh ocean scene with step by step instruction. Registration is required and the cost is $15.

The Annual Memorial Dedication is Friday, June 8 at 2 p.m. All residents are welcome in the garden to recognize those who left us this year and have made special contributions to the senior center.

The Art of iPhoneography will teach participants how to take quality photos with your phone on Tuesday, June 12 from 2 to 3:30. The workshop is free and open to the public.

A free screening of the Steven Spielberg film “The Post,” starring Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks, is Thrusday, June 14 at 2 p.m.

And learn how to prepare a “Kitchen Clam Bake” with Chef Tricia on Wednesday, June 20 at 2 p.m. Watch as a clam bake is created in one pot in the senior center kitchen. The cooking class is $5.00 and registration is required.
