Orleans Voters Pass Wastewater Article

KA_sunset_orleans main street_042216_040ORLEANS – Voters at town meeting in Orleans Monday night approved $3.2 million in funding for ongoing wastewater planning.

The article easily passed the two-thirds majority needed, 369 to 98.

The vote now funds 25 percent of a design for a sewer system downtown and also pays for a number of pilot programs exploring nontraditional wastewater practices.

The plan now heads to the ballot box on November 8th.
