COTUIT – Three Bays Preservation is calling all kayakers and paddle boarders to participate in its Race for the Bays, a fundraising race from Cotuit Bay through North Bay to West Bay.
Money raised will be used to further the mission of Three Bays to clean up the estuaries.
The race is a test of speed and endurance for stand up paddle-boarders and kayakers on courses of varying difficulty.
All ages and levels of paddlers can compete in a spirited challenge. Winners will receive prizes and the designation of “best paddler on Cape Cod.”
The race begins at Ropes Beach in Cotuit on Saturday, September 20. Registration begins at 7 a.m.
The night before the race, a dinner for participants will be held at Veteran’s Hall in Osterville from 6 to 9 p.m.
