Paddle-Out at Newcomb Hollow Beach to Honor Shark Attack Victim

WELLFLEET – Surfers from across New England will gather this weekend at Newcomb Hollow Beach in Wellfleet to celebrate the life of Arthur Medici.

The 26-year-old Revere man was fatally injured from a shark attack last month while boogie boarding at the beach.

The celebration of life and paddle-out is scheduled for Saturday at 9:30 a.m.

Friends and family of Medici are expected to attend.

Organizers say all possible safety precautions are being pursued for the event.
