TRURO – Residents and visitors will have a chance to experience the Outer Cape landscape from a unique point of view in a few weeks.

The Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill is holding its third annual Pamet River Float on Saturday, July 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Participants will float in an inner tube with the outgoing tide down the Pamet River from Castle Hill to Pamet Harbor.

The float is about a mile long through the river which wanders back and forth through the marsh to the harbor.

The landing spot is where the inlet from Cape Cod Bay enters the harbor at the foot of the north jetty.

Vans will pick participants up and drive back to Castle Hill for a cook-out on the back deck.

The fundraising event is free for Castle Hill members and $50 for non-members and includes the use of the inner tube and the barbeque.

Attendees should wear sunscreen and water shoes are required. Life vests are recommended for less experienced swimmers and are required for children.
