Paraglider Injured in Wellfleet

WELLFLEET – A man was taken to Cape Cod  Hospital today after suffering injuries in a paragliding accident at White Crest Beach in Wellfleet.

Wellfleet Fire Captain Thomas Ferriera said rescue crews responded around noon and the paraglider, a 54-year-old man, suffered minor, non life-threatening injuries.

According to Ferriera, paragliders use White Crest Beach year-round because of the high high winds and steep cliffs.
