BOSTON – The state has announced that parking fees at all state parks and forests statewide will be waived in honor of Veterans Day.
The fee waiver, which is set for November 11, corresponds with a National Park Service program that also offers free admission at the federal agency’s properties nationwide on Veterans Day.
“Massachusetts has a long, proud history of its citizens answering the call of duty during both times of war and peace, and it is important that we all take the time to reflect and appreciate their unwavering service to our great nation,” said Governor Charlie Baker.
The state is also waiving the fees to encourage children and their families to get outside and enjoy the Commonwealth’s natural resources.
