Parks, Plastic Bags on Warrant in Provincetown

TOWN MEETING VOTESPROVINCETOWN – Provincetown voters will consider a major purchase tonight at the Special Town Meeting.

The article asks voters to spend $1.1 million to purchase a 13,000 square foot property in town, with the idea of turning that space into a park.

The town is considering buying the clamshell parking lot in the East End, known as the Hall property.

Selectman Tom Donegan said he support the purchae of the land.

Residents will also consider a plastic bag ban, outdoor lighting restrictions and loosening residency requiremetns for some town employees.
