Peake Endorses Forest for County Commission

mark forestPROVINCETOWN – Provincetown State Rep. Sarah Peake has endorsed Mark Forest for Barnstable County Commissioner.

In a statement, Peake said Forest will “bring a wealth of experience, new ideas, and new energy to County government.”

“I worked closely with Mark Forest when I was a Selectman in Provincetown and now as a State Representatieve. I know firsthand what a hard worker Mark is and how he brings a creative ‘outside the box’ approach to problem solving,” Peak said. “When he worked in the [Provincetown] Town Manager’s office, Mark helped solved the town’s financial crisis, protect its water supplies and rebuild MacMillan Wharf.”

Peake also cited Forest’s work on transit and affordable housing matters and his efforts with the moves of Highland and Nauset lights as reasons for her support.

Forest, incumbent Mary Pat Flynn, Ron Beaty, and Linda Bond are running for two seats on the commission.
