Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum Hosting New Year Reception

PROVINCETOWN – The Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum will be hosting a special event on Sunday, December 30, from 4-6 p.m. to ring in the New Year.

The event will feature music, champagne and oysters – and will come to a crescendo with a perfect viewing point of fireworks from Provincetown Harbor.

“We like to think at the Pilgrim Monument that we have the best view of fireworks overlooking Provincetown Harbor,” said executive director Dr. David Weidner.

“We’re going to be celebrating with some nice music, good champagne and oysters as we say goodbye to 2018 and hello to 2019.”

Proceeds of the event will go to support the monument and museum programs for 2019.

“Having fundraisers like our First Light Fireworks champagne reception adds money to our general fund to allow us to do the kind of programming work that supports working with our Wampanoag Nation, supports working with our LGBT and theater activities throughout the year,” Dr. Weidner said.

Tickets to the event are $50 and can be purchased online or by calling 508-487-1310.
