Pilgrim Monument Gearing Up for Annual Thanksgiving Lighting

KA_Provincetown_Pilgrim Monument Lighting_Ptown_Holiday Christmas Lights_11251516PROVINCETOWN – The 252-foot Pilgrim Monument on High Pole Hill is currently being strung with lights which will illuminate on Thanksgiving Eve.

On November 23rd from 5 to 7 p.m., the annual lighting of the monument will honor Coast Guard Station Provincetown and the region’s strong historical ties with the Mayflower Pilgrims and Native Americans who they interacted with.

The music of John Thomas will fill the environs surrounding the monument, and complimentary cider and cookies will be available.

Admission is free, but attendees can make a donation to have part of the lighting be performed in the name of someone they choose.
