Plane Removed From Service After Employee Snaps Selfie

imsis243-042BOSTON (AP) — An American Airlines plane has been temporarily taken out of service after an employee took a selfie on its wing.

It happened Thursday night at Logan Airport in Boston.

An airline spokesman says a SwissPort contractor climbed on the wing of a plane and snapped a selfie. The employee has a badge and is allowed on airport property.

American Airlines had to briefly take the aircraft out of service to ensure that there was no damage.

There is no word on any charges.

No other information was immediately released.
