“Plastic: A Toxic Love Story” Examines Our Nations Dependence on Popular Product

DENNIS – In an effort to draw attention to plastic use around the country, author and journalist Susan Freinkel will travel to the Cape to discuss her book, “Plastic: A Toxic Love Story.”

According to Freinkel’s book, humans have produced as much plastic in the past decade as was produced in the entire twentieth century.

A science and environmental writer, Freinkel’s work has appeared in The New York Times, Smithsonian, Health, Discover, The Nation, Reader’s Digest, and other national publications.

Freinkel’s presentation is sponsored by the Association to Preserve Cape Cod, which is hosting a series of events throughout 2018 to commemorate their 50th anniversary.

Talks get underway Thursday, July 26th at the Eastham Public Library, 190 Samoset Road at 6:30 p.m.

The free presentation does require pre-registration. To register, go to www.APCC.org/events or call 508-619-3185.
