Pleasant Bay Community Boating Speaker Series

CHATHAM- As part of this year’s Pleasant Bay Community Boating speaker series, Dr. Rob Thieler of the Woods Hole Coastal and Marine Science Center invites the public for a climate change discussion.

‘Challenges and Opportunities for Coastal Land Conservation in a Changing Climate’ will focus on factors such as how the Cape can protect its ecosystems in the future, and what opportunities might the changing coastline could present for us, during the next few years.

Other topics being covered will include sea level rise, salt marshlands degradation, and unusual seasonal shifts that are currently being measured all over the globe.

Talks will get underway this Friday, August 10th from 4:30-6 p.m. at the Hillside Center on PBCB’s campus.
