FALMOUTH – A Mashpee plow driver will be charged with intentionally spraying protesters with water and snow on Monday at the Falmouth Village Green.

A statement from Falmouth Police said John Pimental, 31, will be summonsed on charges of disorderly conduct and assault via a snow plow.

Just before 12:30 p.m. Monday, a Falmouth Police officer was flagged down by protesters to report they were assaulted by a passing snow plow.

According to Falmouth Police, the protesters alleged that a snow plow driver intentionally drove by the Village Green twice, throwing snow from the plow into the group.

They were taking part in a nationwide protest against President Donald Trump’s national emergency declaration  on immigration.

Lt. Doug DeCosta said in a statement that officers located the plow driver, identified as Pimental, who will be summonsed to court for Disorderly Conduct and Assault.

No injuries were reported.

Falmouth Police said it was a privately owned snow plow.
