Plymouth Court Re-named in Honor of Retired Lawmaker

PLYMOUTH – The Plymouth Trial Court was re-named Friday in honor of former Plymouth-Barnstable State Senator Therese Murray.

The Democrat retired from office after serving from 1993 to 2015. She was elected Senate President in 2007 and served in that capacity until she left office.

The court was re-named after legislation by Senator Vinny deMacedo to recognize her service in the senate and the local community.

deMacedo, a Republican, won the seat after Murray’s retirement.
