Plymouth Road Work Begins Next Week

PLYMOUTH – MassDot is alerting motorists to an upcoming project that will impact drivers in Plymouth beginning next week.

A roadway reconstruction and bridge replacement project is scheduled to take place on Taylor Avenue beginning Tuesday, September 4th.

Officials say the project will finish up in the spring 2022.

Workers will resurface pavement make drainage improvements install concrete curbing and install new curbs in the area.

The bridge over Beaver Dam Brook will be replaced. That bridge will be closed beginning Tuesday and is scheduled to open again in the Spring of 2019.

During that project traffic north of the bridge will be detoured to White Horse Beach Road to Route 3A State Road to Manomet Point Road.

Traffic south of the bridge will be detoured in the opposite direction.

Traffic management plans call for one lane of traffic in each direction along Taylor Avenue.

Drivers should expect slow speeds and delays. All work is weather dependent and may be impacted by unforeseen circumstances.
